We understand that you and your fiancé are going through a challenging time, and we want to assure you that we are here to pray and support you both in Jesus' name. We are reminded of the struggle we face as believers, not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual hosts of wickedness, as Ephesians 6:12 tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the spiritual warfare and for praying in Jesus' name. It is only through His name that we have access to God, as Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask for in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it" (John 14:13-14 WEB).
However, we must also address that as believers, we are called to live holy lives. If there is any ungodly behavior or unconfessed sin in your relationship, it may be giving the enemy a foothold. As it is written, "Don’t give place to the devil" (Ephesians 4:27 WEB). We encourage you both to examine your hearts and lives, repent of any sin, and strive to live in obedience to God's Word.
Regarding your fiancé's mental illness, we trust in the healing power of Jesus. We remember the woman with the issue of blood who touched the hem of Jesus' garment and was healed. Jesus said to her, "Daughter, cheer up! Your faith has made you well" (Matthew 9:22 WEB). We join our faith with yours and pray for your fiancé's healing.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Anonymous and their fiancé. We thank You that they both have Jesus in their hearts and are seeking Your will. Lord, we pray for peace and calm in their minds and hearts. We ask for Your divine intervention, that You would heal Anonymous' fiancé from his mental illness, and bring an end to the torment of the enemy. We pray for protection against the schemes of the devil, that no longer will he have a hold on them. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to live holy lives, pleasing to You. Equip them with the full armor of God, that they may stand firm against the enemy's attacks. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Continue to stand firm in your faith, and remember that "God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will see you through.
