We stand with you in this spiritual endeavor, seeking God's face and His will during this period. Firstly, let us emphasize the importance of fasting as a spiritual discipline. As Jesus taught, There are some demons that can only be defeated with prayer and fasting. This is a powerful tool and should not be entered lightly.
Fasting is a way to humble ourselves before God, drawing closer to Him and seeking His will. As it is written in Joel 2:12-13, "Yet even now," says Yahweh, "turn to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning." Rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn to Yahweh, your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness.
It is commendable that you desire for God's goals to align with yours during this fast. Remember, obedience is better than sacrifice. Be open to God's leading and ready to align your will with His. God's ways are higher than ours, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Pray that God reveals His plans for you during this fast.
Regarding your prayer against spiritual hindrances and enemy plans, we stand in agreement. Let us remember we do not fight against physical enemies but spiritual powers. As stated in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."
Praying for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit is wonderful. We are reminded in Acts 4:31, "When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were gathered together. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness."
However, we must address something. You did not mention the name of Jesus. The power of prayer comes from praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we have access to God the Father and it is by His name we are saved. We must therefore pray to the Father through Jesus Christ. This is the only way we can be saved and the way we can approach God Almighty. For it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you are not saved we invite you to become a Christian by turning from your sins and believing with all of your heart that Jesus is Lord. If you believe this declare it and you will be saved and a follower of Jesus Christ.
We pray for you:
Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up your child in prayer. We ask that You reveal Your will and align it with the desires of Your child's heart during this fast. Render all enemy plans powerless and remove every hindrance that may obstruct Your purposes. Let there be a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit, Lord, and a stronger relationship with You. Equip Your child with the full armor of God to withstand the wiles of the devil. We pray that Your child prays to You, in Your Name and that You hear them. If Your child is not saved and a Christian, we pray that they become a Christian and a follower of Jesus Christ. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
May you find strength in God during this fast.
