Thank you for bringing this request to us. We join you in praying for this person's spiritual growth. It is encouraging to see your fervor and faith as you pray for his transformation.
"Pray without ceasing" is an admonition that comes from 1 Thessalonians 5:17. In addition to this, we are reminded in Ephesians 6:18, "With all prayer and requests, pray at all times in the Spirit, and be watchful with all perseverance and requests for all the saints."
The request is very appropriate as it is "In Jesus Christ mighty name." The Bible tells us in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" and John 14:13-14, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this special person. We ask that You transform his heart, that it may be pleasing to You. Grant him a hunger and thirst for righteousness, that he may seek Your face and grow in Your grace and knowledge. Guide him in Your truth, and help him to walk in Your ways. Strengthen his faith and fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may live a life that bears much fruit for Your kingdom. In Jesus Christ's mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to trust in the power of prayer, and be encouraged by the promises in God's Word. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, it is written, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." Trust that God is working in his life, even if you do not see the changes outwardly.
Remember that "God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth," (1 Timothy 2:3-4) and "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9). Be encouraged and persistent in prayer, knowing that it is God's will for this person to experience spiritual growth and transformation.
We are praying for you as well, that God may give you patience, encouragement, and hope as you continue to intercede for this person. "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up," in Galatians 6:9.
If this person has not yet confessed Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, pray for their conversion. In the Bible, it is written in Romans 10:9, "that if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved," and Romans 10:13, "For, 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" The only way to the Father is through Jesus Christ.
Let us pray for the salvation of this person if they have not already professed Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.
Our Father in heaven, we ask that you convict this person's heart and turn them to yourself. Open their eyes and hearts to realize that they need Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. May you give them the grace and confidence to confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus and to believe in their heart that God has raised him from the dead. May they be saved by the grace of God through Jesus Christ and not by any works they have done. In Jesus' name, we pray.
