Dolly, we understand that you're going through a spiritual attack and are experiencing unwanted thoughts. We appreciate that you have reached out for prayer and believe that only prayer can heal this situation.
We are reminded in Ephesians 6:12 (WEB), For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
It is reassuring that you have mentioned praying in Jesus' name which is important in our prayers.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### who is experiencing spiritual attacks and unwanted thoughts. We thank You, Lord, that Your ear is not deaf to our cries and Your arm is not shortened that it cannot save. Act on ###'s behalf now and rebuke these spiritual attacks in Jesus' name! We know we have authority over the enemy as we read in Luke 10:19 (WEB) "Look, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will in any way hurt you."
Father, strengthen ###'s mind in these times of unwanted thoughts. We are encouraged by Your word in 2 Corinthians 10:5 (WEB) that we are to take every thought captive in obedience to Christ. Help ### to do this very thing, casting down every imagination and high thought that would exalt itself against the knowledge of God.
Surround ###, Lord, with Your hedge of protection as we pray Psalm 91 over her:
Psalm 91:9-11 (WEB) "Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your habitation, no evil will happen to you, neither will any plague come near your tent. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."
Instruct ### in how to use the spiritual armor detailed in Ephesians 6:10-18:
"10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, 16 above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints."
Father, as ### walks in Your truth, wrapped in Your righteousness, her feet grounded in the gospel of peace, and takes up the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, we know she will be empowered to overcome these attacks.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
In addition to prayer, encourage you to dive into the Word of God, ###, especially the Psalms. They are full of encouragement and reminders of God's faithfulness and protection. Memorize scriptures that you can declare aloud when the attacks come. As James 4:7 (WEB) says, Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Stand strong in your faith, and remember that God will never leave you nor forsake you. He is always with you, and He will bring you through this. Also, make sure to examine your life for anything that could be causing an opening for this attack.
