you believe you have "something" that compels you to do something you don't want to do. That is not a spirit but a mindset. Your feelings of shame, condemnation and guilt keep you bound to a behavior that's not even yours it's a belief that you've been told and you believe. Now you go and search the scriptures you will find that Christ has delivered you, He has healed you, and given you the mind of Christ so that you can discern what is truth and what is not. This has been there for a long time now I have struggled to stop I always find myself doing it. Pray for me
I have struggled in my school. Pray for me that I may pass my November exam and find a job
Pray for me that I may have finicinal help
My prayer life has gone down pray for me, I can't even study the word
Repenting, as we have been told it means is not what it means, It means, change your mind. Stop where you are and make that 180 degree turn and walk the other way. Start saying who God has said you are. I am the righteousness of God in Christ. I am a son of God. I am light and in me is no darkness. I am beloved and God is not angry with me. He has given me all things that pertain to life...You have the kingdom of God...called Holy Spirit, who is your helper. Instead of living in shame, guilt, and condemnation start acknowledging every good thing in you in Christ. Change your mind, your beliefs of what it means to be a "good" person. You walk with God, He walks with you, He lives in you and He loves you.
He wants you to prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers, so start acknowledging what God has said, and not what religion has taught you.
I am the righteousness of God. I have the mind of Christ. As Jesus is, so am I in this world.
Thank you Father for your Spirit who guides and leads us into all truth. Thank you that this person has the mind of Christ and begins to acknowledge the truth of what YOU said about them and not what they learned through man. Thank you for delivering their life from destruction. Psalms 107:20.
Let the joy of the Lord be your strength. Arise shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
The Lord bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace. Numbers 6:2426
