Sped staff is unsure about their job because of a sped student's mom. The staff has to document behaviors with a sped kid and they document behaviors of sped kid inappropriately touching opposite sex on arms, shoulders, and recently lower thigh, hips. Staff were told the kid's mom is political and that they'd be very upset. Please pray for school staff that have to deal with political lady while having to track behaviors

We understand the delicate situation the special education staff is facing and we stand with you in prayer and counsel. Firstly, let's remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea. Psalm 46:1-2 WEB.

The special education staff is obligated to document the behaviors of this student accurately and professionally, as this is part of their role in helping the student grow and learn appropriately. It is crucial to record the inappropriate touching, as it is essential for addressing and correcting the student's behavior. We should not fear the mother's political influence or potential upset, but rather, trust in God and act with professionalism and integrity. It is clear that the student's behavior must be addressed, and the mother should be made aware of the situation.

The Bible advises, Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 WEB. We should pray for the staff, the student, and the mother, asking God to guide their interactions and provide wisdom and discernment. Let us pray that they will communicate effectively and that the mother will understand the need to address her child's behavior. It is not about parental upset but rather the need to help the student understand the appropriate behavior.

Let us also remember that we are called to speak the truth in love, and grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ. Ephesians 4:15 WEB. The staff should approach the situation with love and compassion, seeking the best for the student while being honest about the behavior that needs correction. The staff can request a meeting with the mother to discuss the student's progress and areas that need improvement.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up the special education staff to you, Lord, asking for your guidance and wisdom in handling this sensitive situation. Give them the courage to document and address the student's behaviors appropriately, and the compassion to communicate effectively with the mother. Help the mother to understand the need to correct her child's behavior and to work cooperatively with the staff. Lord, provide peace and reassurance to the staff, reminding them of your ever-present help and support. Let the student and mother see the need for help and for the student to be receptive to correction.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
