Let us join together in lifting up Hanmarenn's son during this important exam and time of his life.
Firstly, it is wonderful to see that this request is made in Jesus' name. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. There is power in the name of Jesus. As the Bible tells us in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" This is why it is so important to pray in the name of Jesus. Let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16.
We also want to point out that managing stress goes hand in hand with trusting God and keeping our mind stayed on Jesus. Anxiety is a result of a combination of things but is ultimately due to man's fall in the garden. It was not part of God's plan for our lives. As we go to the book of Joshua, the people of Israel were also anxious. They had to cross the Jordan river to get into the promised land. So, as a reminder to us all and to this young man, let us remember in Joshua 1:9: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for Yahweh your God will be with you wherever you go." This applies to both the exam and his health and stress levels.
Let us also remember Luke 12:22:26 WEB "He said to his disciples, 'Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor yet about your body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens: they do not sow, they do not reap, they have no warehouse or barn, and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds! Which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his height? If then you are not able to do the least things, why are you anxious about the rest?'" It is perfectly normal to be concerned with the examination and the outcome. This is because we are concerned with the result. What we need to understand is God is more concerned with us than even the birds in the air, and he cares for them! In fact, Jesus is the creator of all things. In John 1:1-3: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him. Without him was not anything made that was made." So, God is the one who creates and gives the ability to remember and solve problems. So, it is God Himself who will be there in the exam.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Hanmarenn's son as he prepares for his Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine exam. We pray for clarity of mind, and all the stress to be replaced by peace that passes all understanding. Lord, we ask that You guide his thoughts and give him the wisdom and knowledge he needs to succeed.
We also pray for his health, Lord. We ask that You strengthen his body and keep him from any illness or distress. Help him to manage his stress in a way that honors You, trusting in Your sovereignty and goodness.
Lord, we thank You for the promise of Your presence in our lives. We ask that Hanmarenn's son would feel Your peace and guidance throughout this exam and in all areas of his life. Let him be the head and not the tail, above only, and not beneath. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage Hanmarenn's son to study, prepare, and work hard. We all have a role to play and God helps those who cannot help themselves. Not that God does not help everyone, but those who do not help themselves cannot be helped. In a practical example, if you are in the water, you must kick your feet in order for someone to be able to pull you out. In the same way, this young man must study and work hard for God to be able to bless his endeavors. We encourage this young man to trust God, do the best you can, and God will do the rest. He will give us the results.
