Due to behavioral issues, my son Joseph is in a program. The medication was supposed to help him control his anger and focus on school. He isn't listening to staff, walks out of supervision, does his work/sleeps in class, but he's not listening in the program. As his mother, I wonder if I had done more for him, his life would be better now if I had.

Firstly, it's crucial to understand that God has a purpose and plan for Joseph, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). As a mother, it's natural to wonder if you could have done more, but remember that God's grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Trust that God loves Joseph even more than you do, and He is working everything out for his good (Romans 8:28).

Let's address the behavioral issues and the program Joseph is in. It's important to pray for wisdom for the staff and for Joseph's heart to be open to their guidance. As it is written, "A wise son heeds his father’s instruction, but a scoffer does not listen to rebuke" (Proverbs 13:1). Pray that Joseph will become a wise son who listens and obeys. Please know you are not alone in this.

Regarding the medication, while it can be helpful in managing symptoms, it's essential to seek God's guidance and wisdom. God's Word tells us that the Holy Spirit brings love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Pray that the Spirit will fill Joseph and help him to grow in these areas, alongside any necessary medical interventions.

Now, let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up Joseph. Lord, You know the struggles he's facing, and You understand the pain his mother is feeling. We ask, Jesus, that You surround Joseph with Your love and guidance. Help him to listen and obey the instructions given to him in the program. Work in his heart, Lord, and bring about a transformation that can only come from You.

Father, we are not sure about the medication and the issue of school. So we are asking for wisdom and guidance about what to do for Joseph.

Please let them be aware that it is only by the name of Jesus that you are able to come before you God and ask for any form of assistance. In addition to asking for your help, we need to be sure and believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God and our Savior and Lord. It is only through Jesus that we can be saved.

Father, we ask that You guide the staff working with Joseph, giving them the wisdom and patience they need to support him effectively.

Help Joseph's mother to trust in Your love and Your plan for her son. Remove any guilt or condemnation, and fill her with Your peace and hope.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, God is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has started in Joseph's life (Philippians 1:6). Stay strong in prayer and faith, trusting in God's promises. We're here with you, praying for Joseph. It's tough seeing our kids struggle, but remember, God has a purpose for Joseph, and He's working even in this. Heavenly Father, you are Jehovah Rapha, our God who heals and restores us and we are grateful for your healing touch! We thank you so much for your love for us. We pray now that you will make your healing hand known as we lift this person's son and his healing need to you. Lord, please begin the healing process and give this person's son the strength and patience to follow you We pray these things in Jesus’ name…amen and amen!

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
