Thank you, Anamartouni, for your heartfelt prayer request for your son David. We join with you in lifting him up to our Heavenly Father, trusting in the power of prayer and the promises of God's Word.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' " And in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." So, we will pray for David in the name of Jesus.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up David to Your throne of grace. We ask, Lord, that You would watch over him, guide him in the way he should go, and keep him from evil and harm. We pray Psalm 121:7 WEB over him: "Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul."
Father, we ask that David will come to know Jesus personally and intimately. We desire Jesus to reveal Himself to David as the greatest treasure in life. May he know that he is loved by God and that he is a child of God as he confesses Jesus as Lord.
Help him, Lord, to make good choices in life, to do well in school, and to communicate effectively with his mother and others. We pray that he would grow up to be a happy, healthy young man, firmly rooted in Your Word. As Proverbs 22:6 WEB says, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
Lord, show him the path to walk down, and let him see the light of Jesus. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Anamartouni, continue to pray fervently for David, and trust in the Lord's faithfulness. Remember the promise in Proverbs 22:6 and hold onto it. Encourage David to read the Bible, attend church, and seek Christian fellowship. As he grows, may he come to personally accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Lastly, we encourage you to share the gospel with David and teach him about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. As it is written in Romans 10:9 WEB: "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
We are standing with you in prayer, trusting that God will work mightily in David's life.
