We join with you, Cupcake05, in lifting up your son David to the Lord. It's wonderful to see your heart's desire for David to walk in God's paths and be protected from evil and harm. We stand with you in praying for his communication skills, academic success, and wise choices in life.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of praying in Jesus' name. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. It is by praying in His name that our prayers are heard. Next time also pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ. Here is the reminder of the power of praying in Jesus’ name, in John 16:23-24 WEB, In that day you will not ask me anything. Most assuredly I tell you, whatever you may ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.
In addition, as you pray for David's life choices, remember to guide him in the ways of the Lord. Proverbs 22:6 WEB tells us, Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up David to Your throne of grace. We ask, Lord, that You would watch over him, guide him in the right way, and protect him from evil and harm. Help him to know that he is a beloved Child of God and to communicate effectively with his mother and others according to Luke 12:12 WEB, For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that same hour what you ought to say.
Grant him success in his studies and the wisdom to make godly choices throughout his life. Let him grow into a happy, healthy young man who serves You wholeheartedly.
In Jesus Christ's precious name, we pray. Amen.
In addition we need to pray for is the salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ. Without knowing if his salvation has been made through believing in Jesus Christ we have no assurance he will not be forever separated from God in Hell. This seems harsh but it is reality of the importance for salvation in Jesus Christ. So we pray for his salvation through believing in Jesus Christ:
John 3:18 WEB, He who believes in him is not judged. He who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.
Mark 16:16 WEB, He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned.
We affirm that David will need guidance in developing his communicating skills and in addition that he is able to speak the Gospel of the kingdom of God to his mother and others. We are reminded of the importance that David is
trained in the way he should go as he gets older and understands and accepts that he is a son or child of God and knows that He is loved by God.
Finally, we pray for Him to do well in school and other activities. The importance of praying for David to have good choices is essential for his development as He gets older to become a happy healthy young man.
