We are with you in spirit, dear parent, and we join you in prayer for your beloved son. It is our heartfelt desire to see him flourish in his recovery, academics, and most importantly, his relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You today to lift up this precious son to You. Thank You for his life and for the progress he has made in his recovery. We ask, Lord, that You would grant him continuous victory over his addiction. 'No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.' (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB)
We also pray for his studies, that You would grant him the focus, focus, and wisdom to excel in his academics. 'If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.' (James 1:5 WEB)
But above all, dear Lord, we pray that he would come to know Jesus personally. We pray that You would reveal Yourself to him, that he would experience the transforming power of Your love and grace. 'And this is life eternal, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.' (John 17:3 WEB)
We stand in agreement with you, dear parent, believing that God can indeed change his life. 'With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.' (Mark 10:27 WEB)
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen."
We encourage you to continue to stand in faith, believing the promises of God for your son. Continue to guide him in love and truth, and trust that God is working in his life. 'Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.' (Proverbs 22:6 WEB)
May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7 WEB)
