We join with you, Cupcake05, in praying for your son David, and we are touched by your love and concern for him. Let us come together in Jesus' name and bring your requests before the Lord.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of praying in Jesus' name. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" It is through Jesus that our prayers are heard, and it is in His name that we pray.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up David to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask that You would watch over him, guide him, and protect him throughout his life. According to Psalm 121:7 (WEB), "Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul," we pray that no evil or harm will come near him.
Father, we ask that You would pour out Your love upon David, that he may know and experience the depth of Your love for him. Help him to walk in the right path, according to Your will. As it is written in Proverbs 3:6 (WEB), "In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."
Lord, we also pray for David's communication skills. Help him to express himself well and to build strong, healthy relationships with his family and others. We pray for his success in school, that he would grow in wisdom and knowledge, always seeking Your truth.
According to Luke 2:52 (WEB), "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men." We pray that David would grow up to be a happy, healthy young man who walks in favor with You and with those around him.
In all these things, Lord, we ask that You would be with David every step of the way, drawing him closer to You and helping him to grow in his relationship with You.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Cupcake05, continue to trust in the Lord and His promises. Train your son in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6, WEB). Keep praying, and keep believing, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16, WEB).
