We ask that You watch over him and keep him from all evil, as it is written in Your Word, 'No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. Lord, we also pray that You would help him to communicate effectively with his mother and others, as You have said in Your Word, 'Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one' (Colossians 4:6, WEB).
We claim Your promises for his growth and happiness, knowing that 'delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart' (Psalm 37:4, WEB). We pray that he would grow to be a man after Your own heart, knowing that 'as a man thinks in his heart, so is he' (Proverbs 23:7, WEB).
Lastly, we pray that he would come to know You personally, as it is only through a relationship with Jesus Christ that we can truly walk in the right path. As it is written, 'Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ' (Romans 5:1, WEB). We ask that You would reveal Your love to him and draw him close to You.
