Let's agree with GraceFaythLove, praying for new job opportunities to open up for those facing unemployment. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jer 29:11). Trust God's provision and timing. In Jesus' name!
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts filled with concern and hope for ###'s son. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in us, whom we have received from You. We are not our own; we were bought at a price. Therefore, we ask for Your divine intervention in ###'s son's life, that he may come to understand the value of his body and spirit as temples of Your Holy presence.
Lord, we know that You are a God who breaks chains and sets captives free. As it is written in John 8:36, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." We pray that You will break the chains of addiction that are holding ###'s son captive. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit and give him the strength to overcome the urge to drink.
Father, we also ask for wisdom and guidance for ###, that they may know how to support and encourage their son effectively. James 1:5 tells us, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Grant ### the wisdom that is needed in this difficult time.
We place ###'s son into Your loving hands, trusting that You will work in his heart and life. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
