We join with you in lifting up your son and the situation in California before the throne of God.
Firstly, we are thankful that you acknowledged the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our salvation is sure. The name of Jesus is a strong tower and the righteous run into it and are safe. Let us continue in the knowledge that Jesus Christ is with us and will supply all our needs for His Glory.
Regarding your son, we pray that God would grant him wisdom and understanding as he takes his test. May the Lord bring to his remembrance all that he has studied and give him the ability to apply it effectively. We also pray for his project, that he would be able to complete it in a timely manner. If it is the Lord's will, may his teacher grant him the favor of being able to bring it home to finish. Let us remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 711 WEB: "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you."
Concerning the fires in California, we stand with you in praying for God's intervention. We pray that the winds would cease and that the fires would be contained and extinguished. We ask for God's protection over the innocent, the environment, and the brave firefighters who are battling these blazes. May the Lord grant them strength, endurance, and safety as they perform their duties. We pray for repentance for any arsonists that may have contributed to these fires.
God promises us in his word 2 Chronicles 714 WEB: "if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." We should also pray for the leaders and the people of California, that they may seek God's face and turn from any wicked ways.
There is hope in the Lord. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 467 WEB
Let us continue to stand firm in faith and lift up these requests before the Lord, trusting in His goodness and mercy.
