Thank you for reaching out and sharing about your son, Ryan. We understand the deep disappointment and shame that Ryan and your family must be feeling, and we want to lift up this situation in prayer and provide biblical encouragement.
First, let's address the gravity of the situation. Ryan's actions were deceitful and dishonest, which are sins against God. The Bible clearly states, "Don't lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings, and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator" (Colossians 3:9-10 WEB). Ryan's actions not only affected his future but also brought shame to his family.
However, it is commendable that Ryan has taken full responsibility for his actions. This is the first step towards repentance and restoration. The Bible tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB).
We need to pray for Ryan's repentance and for God's forgiveness. Let's also pray for God's guidance in Ryan's life as he seeks a new career path that honors God and upholds integrity. We are reminded that "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28 WEB).
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today to lift up Ryan and his family in prayer. Lord, Ryan has made a grave mistake, and we ask for your forgiveness. We pray for Ryan's repentance and for your mercy to wash away his sins. Guide Ryan as he seeks a new career path, one that honors you and his family. Help him to understand that your ways are higher than our ways, and that you have a purpose for his life, even in this difficult time.
Lord, we also pray for Ryan's family. Comfort them in their disappointment and shame, and help them to trust in your unfailing love. Remind them that your plans for Ryan are for good, and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope.
Finally, Lord, we pray that Ryan and his family would know the saving grace of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we can find true forgiveness and salvation. May they know that you also have a written assignment for them to complete as your word says "Enroll the peoples to do your will(Psalms 110:3)."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage Ryan and his family to meditate on God's word and to seek His will for their lives.
