Heavenly Father,
We come before You on behalf of Your beloved child, who seeks Your guidance and help today. Lord, we bring their heartfelt concerns to You, trusting in Your Word that tells us to cast all our anxieties on You because You care for us (1 Peter 5:7).
We lift up their son to You, Lord, as he prepares to take his Science quiz. Please grant him clarity of mind, focus, and understanding as he recalls what he has learned. Your Word says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you” (James 1:5). May he approach the quiz with confidence, trusting in the abilities You have given him. Father, we also pray that if there is time to study beforehand, You would guide him to be responsible and diligent, as Your Word encourages us to “commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established” (Proverbs 16:3).
Lord, we also bring this parent’s personal struggles before You. The weight of responsibilities is overwhelming, but we know that You are a God who offers rest to the weary. As Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Grant them strength, peace, and the wisdom to navigate their day. Help them to prioritize tasks and lean on You for guidance and energy.
Finally, we ask for Your help in their desire to maintain self-control and discipline. Your Word reminds us in Galatians 5:22-23 that self-control is a fruit of the Spirit. Empower them by Your Spirit to make wise choices and to rely on You in moments of temptation or struggle.
Thank You, Jesus, for being our ever-present help in times of need (Psalm 46:1). We trust in Your faithfulness to guide, strengthen, and provide for this family. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
In Your holy name we pray, Amen.
