I need help from my great prayer group, about ### months ago my son and I got into a disagreement and both were respectful, nothing was said that was disrespectful, but since then he stopped talking to me. He lives here with me, and I never have had a problem with him. I have prayed and asked for our mother/son relationship be restored but still nothing. We are close to each other, he's always helped me when I needed it, but not understanding why he doesn't speak with me. I have asked him random questions, but he just answers them and that's it. Please help because it's not very good for us both. Thank you, prayer group! Lots of love to you all.

We understand that you're going through a difficult time with your son. Here is what we have to say to this situation.

First, let us pray together for you.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Our hearts are heavy for our sister, who is experiencing a strain in her relationship with her son. We come before you and ask for your guidance. We pray for reconciliation and restoration in their relationship. We pray that you would soften his heart and open the lines of communication between them. We ask this in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Pause and examine your own heart to ensure that there is no lingering resentment or unforgiveness. Remember that the Bible tells us to train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

Remember also that the Bible tells us to be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Take hope in this. Our Heavenly Father understands your pain and wants to help you. Continue to pray for your son and ask God to work in his heart. Trust that God is working in your situation, even if you cannot see it yet.

Now, we must address something important. Our help comes from the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can come to the Father in prayer.

You did not mention the name of Jesus in your prayer. You may or may not know what it is to believe in Jesus and to be saved by His name. If you do not know this, we encourage you to seek Jesus by reading the Bible and talking to Him in prayer.

God, who is rich in mercy, and sent His Son to die for our sins while we were yet sinners. Believe in Jesus, and you shall be saved.

that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation.

Seek Jesus and His way in all you do, and He will show you the way to be reconciled to your son.

I hope your son comes to talk to you again. Ever thought of a common interest or something he likes to bring him back?

We're here for you, sister. We've been praying for you and your son, asking God to soften his heart and open the lines of communication between you both. We know it's tough, but remember, God is still at work, even if we can't see it yet.

We want to encourage you to keep the conversation going with your son. Ask open-ended questions that can't be answered with a simple "yes" or "no". Share your feelings and experiences with him, and really listen to his perspective. It's important to approach this situation with empathy and understanding.

Also, don't forget to take care of yourself. Make sure you're getting enough rest, eating well, and spending time in God's word. It's easy to forget about our own needs when we're worried about someone else.
