We understand your concern for your son, Matt, and his current work and financial struggles. Let's bring this situation before the Lord together, seeking His guidance and provision.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the promise in Philippians 4:19 (WEB), "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We serve a loving and faithful God who knows our needs and provides for us according to His riches.
However, we also want to encourage Matt to be diligent and to seek God's will in his life. In 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 (WEB), it is written, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, don’t let him eat.' For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don’t work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are with you, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread." It's important for Matt to continue seeking work and trusting that God will open the right doors for him.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Matt and his wife. Lord, they are going through a challenging time, facing work and financial struggles. We ask, Father, that You guide Matt to the right job, one that not only meets their financial needs but also aligns with Your will for his life. Give him discernment and wisdom in his job search, and help him to be diligent and trusting in Your timing.
Lord, we also pray for Matt's wife, that she may be a source of strength and encouragement to him during this time. Help them both to keep their eyes fixed on You, trusting in Your promise to supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Finally, Lord, we pray that through this trial, Matt and his wife may grow closer to You and to each other. May their faith be strengthened, and may their testimony bring glory to Your name. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. If Matt and his wife have not already done so, encourage them to trust in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
