We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles Dustin is facing, and we are here to intercede and provide biblical counsel.
Firstly, let's pray:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine intervention in Dustin's life. Lord, You see the bondage of addiction and anger that he is grappling with. We cry out for deliverance, that You would set him free from these chains. Give him the strength to overcome, and guide him to the healing and restoration found only in You. Surround this family with a hedge of protection, keeping them safe from the enemy's schemes. In Jesus' name, we pray.
Now, let's look at what the WEB says about deliverance and protection:
For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Therefore don't be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner; but endure hardship for the Good News according to the power of God, who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before times eternal. (2 Timothy 1:7-9)
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:12-13)
We must understand that addiction and uncontrolled anger are not just physical or emotional issues, but spiritual ones as well. Like it says they are spiritual forces of wickedness. It requires spiritual warfare, and God has equipped us with His armor to stand firm. Dustin needs to put on this armor daily and stand against the enemy's attacks.
We also encourage Dustin to seek godly counsel and community support to overcome this struggle. He should not be ashamed to confess his struggles to faithful brethren and those who have experience walking in the spirit of God. If Dustin has not accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, now is the time. Only in Jesus can we find true freedom and victory.
It is important to remember that the deliverance may not be instantaneous, but God is faithful. As a family, continue to intercede for Dustin, trusting in God's perfect will and timing. Be encouraged by these words:
Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don't give up. (Galatians 6:9)
God hears your prayers, and He will answer, so remember do not be weary in praying in this way.
