We join with you, Anamartouni, in lifting up your son and daughter to the Lord. It's wonderful to see your heartfelt concern for their well-being and their walk with God. We will pray and provide some biblical encouragement for you.
Firstly, it is so important to pray in the name of Jesus. It is only by His name that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we can be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Anamartouni's son and daughter. We ask, Lord, that You watch over them and guide them down the right path in life. We pray for their ability to speak, make good choices, and know that they are loved by You.
Father, we ask for Your protection over them. Turn them away from evil and keep them from harm. Help turn them from bad influences and toward godly friends and mentors.
Father, we pray for their education, that they would apply themselves and do well in school. Give them a desire to learn and grow in wisdom and knowledge.
Father, ultimately, we pray that they would come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. That they would grow to have a deep and abiding relationship with Him. As they grow older, direct their paths to godly spouses if that is Your will for them.
Father, we know that the greatest influence in their lives is their mother. Help her to know and follow You, that she would show them the way they should go.
Help them grow up to be happy, healthy adults. To love You and to love others. To live lives that honor and glorify You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Anamartouni, continue to pray for your children and trust in the Lord. Remember the words of Proverbs 22:6 WEB Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Also, Deuteronomy 6:6-7 WEB These words, which I command you this day, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
Keep teaching them about God, keep praying for them, and keep loving them. Trust in the Lord, and lean not on your own understanding. He will direct their paths.
