We are truly saddened to hear about the addiction that has ensnared Faeron's son, but we are encouraged that they have reached out for prayer in the mighty name of Jesus. Addiction is a form of bondage that is not from God. God wants us to be free indeed, as His word says in John 8:36 WEB: "If therefore the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."
Faeron's son's addiction is not just a physical issue, but also a spiritual one. We must remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 12:29 WEB: "Or how can one enter into the house of the strong man, and plunder his goods, unless he first bind the strong man? Then he will plunder his house." We need to bind the stronghold of addiction in Faeron's son's life and plunder the enemy's hold on him.
Our hearts join together to pray for Faeron's son:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, grateful that You are a God who sets the captives free. We lift up Faeron's son to You, asking that You break the chains of drug addiction that have bound him. We are saying chains fall due to your word. You say in Isaiah 61:1-3 (WEB): "The Lord Yahweh’s Spirit is on me; because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of Yahweh’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;" Lord, we proclaim liberty to Faeron's son. We also pray for him to experience your love. We are so thankful that Faeron has hope and faith that Your love can do anything. Lord we know that with your love and mercy, you will heal Faeron's son's brokenness and fill him with your Holy Spirit. Lord you tell us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB: "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Lord we are asking for Faeron's son to be free from his sin so that he can glorify you in his body and spirit. Lord, You are a God who redeems, who restores, and who resurrects. We call forth life into this situation and speak resurrection power into Faeron's son's life. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Faeron, continue to stand firm in your faith and trust in the Lord. Remember the promise in James 5:16 WEB: "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in the power of Jesus' name.
Lastly, remember the words of Jesus in Mark 10:27 WEB: "Jesus looked at them, and said, 'With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.'" Trust in the possibilities of God, and remain steadfast in your prayers and support for your son.
Pray for Faeron, and their family as well.
