We understand that you're feeling like God may not appreciate your immature tendencies and your ways of dealing with stress, such as meowing like a cat or detaching from reality. First, let's remember that God loves us unconditionally, and His love is not based on our performance or maturity. As it is written in Romans 5:8 WEB, "But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
However, God does want us to grow and mature in our faith and actions. In Corinthians 13:11 WEB, it is written, "When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child. Now that I have become a man, I have put away childish things." Meowing like a cat or detaching from reality to deal with stress are not productive ways of handling stress and could be considered immature or inappropriate behaviors.
Instead of detaching from reality, God wants us to cast our anxieties on Him. In 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." And in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." He promises us that we will have stress because of the circumstances we are in, but He has overcome the world, so rest in His promise.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister from Repenteth.com. We thank You for their honesty and humility in acknowledging their feelings and actions. Lord, we ask that You help them grow to be in your image, we pray they will fully grasp the depth of Your unconditional love for them. Help them to cast their anxieties on You, trusting in Your care and provision. Give them the strength and wisdom to handle stress in appropriate and God-honoring ways. Guide them through Your Holy Spirit to mature in their faith and actions. They have come to you asking for help and guidance in difficult situations and realize they should not turn from your promise to you in hard times. Help them glorify you in dealing with difficult situations. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue growing in your faith, turning to God in times of stress, and trusting in His love and care for you. Remember, it's only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God and we will only be saved by His name. No one else can redeem us and we are covered in His blood from judgement of sin if we confess our sins to Him and believe that Jesus Christ saves us from eternal judgement. Repent and be saved in Jesus name and receive eternal life in Heaven with Him.
