We are truly sorry to hear about the struggle with substance addiction in someone close to you. We commend you for your faithfulness in praying for this person and we join you in this petition, standing in the gap together. Remember, our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Eph 6:12.
Let us pray for them together as Jesus taught us, believing for their deliverance and healing in His mighty name:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this person who is battling with substance addiction. We know that this is not Your will for their life, and we stand in the gap, praying for their deliverance and healing.
Lord, we pray that You would break the chains of addiction in their life. That You would give them the strength to overcome this struggle, and that You would surround them with people who will support and encourage them on this journey.
We pray also for Scrover, that You would give them the wisdom and discernment to know how to best support this person. That You would give them the words to speak and the actions to take that would point this person to You.
Lord, we know that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. Acts 4:12. And we know that it is only by His stripes that we are healed. Isa 53:5. So we pray for healing and salvation in Jesus' name.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and Your love. We trust that You are working in this situation, even now, and we believe that You will bring about a miracle in this person's life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Scrover, continue to trust in the Lord and do not grow weary in doing good. Gal 6:9. Keep praying and believing for this person's healing and deliverance. And remember, the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16.
We are here with you in this journey, interceding and believing with you.
If the person with the substance addiction does not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we encourage you to gently introduce them to Him. Share your faith and the hope that you have in Christ. For it is only by His name that we must be saved. Acts 4:12.
If you have not already, we recommend that you seek help from local Christian resources that specialize in substance addiction. They can provide practical support and guidance during this time. And remember, God is with you and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Deut 31:6.
Stay strong in the Lord. Eph 6:10
