We understand that you're feeling attracted to someone at church and are seeking God's help in this situation. First, we want to encourage you to trust in God's timing and plan for your life. It's wonderful that you're seeking God's will in this matter.
Let's remember what God tells us, Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 WEB.
However, it's crucial to ensure that your actions and thoughts align with biblical principles. The goal should be a godly interaction and friendship. If you are a Christian believer, we can pray for God to lead you both into a courtship that would honor Him and potentially lead to marriage. This will require patience, respect, and purity.
The Bible tells us, But among you there must not be either sexual immorality, nor any kind of impurity, nor greed, as these are not appropriate for saints. Nor should there be vulgar talk, foolishness, or ribaldry; but rather giving of thanks. For this you know with certainty: that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous one, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things, the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them. Ephesians 5:3-7 WEB.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother who is seeking Your will in this situation. Lord, we ask that You guide his thoughts and actions. If it is Your will, make a way for a godly conversation between him and the girl he is interested in and draw them to you.
Help him to trust in Your timing and to act with courage, respect, purity, and integrity. Give him the wisdom to discern Your will and the strength to follow it.
Help them both to rely on You and to seek a relationship that honors You. We pray this all in one name by which we can be saved, Jesus Christ. The bible tells us, in Acts 4:12 WEB Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
