We understand that you're going through a challenging time in your marriage, Achewood, and we want you to know that we're here to support and pray with you. Let's first remember what the WEB tells us about marriage in Ephesians 5:22-33, "Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body... Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it... However, each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband."
Marriage is designed to reflect the relationship between Christ and the Church. It's a lifelong commitment that requires understanding, forgiveness, and love. In Matthew 19:6, Jesus says, "So then, they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate."
Let's pray together for your marriage, for understanding, and for unity in your family:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Achewood's marriage to You. Lord, You know the struggles they're facing, the misunderstandings, and the lack of acceptance from both sides of their families. We ask You to intervene, to bring healing, understanding, and unity. Help Achewood to love and respect each other as You intend, and to work together to solve their problems. We rebuke the spirit of divorce and discord, and we ask You to guide their hearts and minds towards reconciliation and love. Please also work in the hearts of their families to accept and bless their union. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Achewood, we encourage you to keep praying together, seeking God's will for your marriage. Remember, God can restore and redeem any situation. As it says in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Lastly, we noticed that your request didn't mention Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it's only through His name that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you haven't already, consider inviting Jesus into your life and marriage. He's the ultimate source of love, peace, and restoration.
