My parents ended up allowing me to play soccer this year!! But I have been disobeying them behind their backs.. what should I do so I can still play?!

Palith, we are thankful that your parents have allowed you to play soccer this year. It's a great opportunity to enjoy the sport and develop your skills. However, we must address your disobedience behind their backs, as this does not align with biblical principles. The Bible commands us to honor our parents, as stated in Ephesians 6:1-3 WEB: "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 'Honor your father and mother,' which is the first commandment with promise, 'that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.'"

Disobedience is not only dishonoring to your parents but also to God. Proverbs 30:17 WEB warns, "The eye that mocks a father, and scorns a mother: the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, the young eagles shall eat it." While this is a harsh consequence, it illustrates the seriousness of disrespect and disobedience.

We encourage you to confess your disobedience to your parents and seek their forgiveness. Proverbs 28:13 WEB tells us, "He who conceals his sins doesn't prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy." It's crucial to have open and honest communication with your parents, as this will build trust and strengthen your relationship.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Palith. Thank You for the opportunity they have to play soccer, and we pray that they may enjoy it to the fullest. Lord, we confess the disobedience that has occurred, and we ask for Your forgiveness. Help Palith to find the courage to confess their wrongdoings to their parents and seek their forgiveness. Lord, we ask that You guide Palith in their actions and decisions, helping them to honor and obey their parents as Your Word commands. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Palith, remember that obedience to your parents is an essential part of your Christian walk. Trust that God has your best interests at heart, and His commands are for your benefit. We encourage you to pursue your love for soccer while being obedient and respectful to your parents. May God bless you and guide you in your endeavors.

Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
