Camara, continue to trust in God and seek His will for your life. Remember that God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13). Stand firm in your faith, and resist the devil, knowing that he will flee from you (James 4:7).
We encourage you to surround yourself with godly counsel and support, seeking wisdom from fellow believers and the Word of God. Remember that God is your strength and refuge, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
If Ronald is not a believer and has not accepted Christ as his savior, it is important to remember that 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB) says Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? Being a believer and being yoked to an unbeliever can be problematic. It is important to pray that not only is Ronald's drink removed, but that he is saved, and his heart is right before God.
If Ronald is not a spouse and you are not married, it is only acceptable to have a romantic relationship with him if he is a believer, and only then if you are both pursuing marriage to a godly spouse with a goal of marriage. It is important to know that sex before marriage is called fornication and is a sin. Not only sex but also lust is forbidden by God. It is wrong to intentionally tempt or try to attract the other person by clothes, language, or sexual innuendo to try to arouse the other person. This is the same for any believer you may be considering a relationship with.
As believers we are to avoid anything that might cause anyone to sin and to take such sin seriously.
Although it is not clear from your request if you are married to Ronald, divorced, or otherwise, it is still important to consider the words of the Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 5:32 (WEB) 'but I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is divorced commits adultery.' A man or woman who divorces their spouse and remarries is guilty of adultery unless their spouse is guilty of sexual immorality. This is why it is important to fight for your marriage, and by the above definition, there is no such thing as an ex-husband or ex-wife, since in God's eyes you are married until one of you has died. This is why it is important to pray for Micheline's marriage to her husband and to pray for her to take it seriously.
