So scared

I am feeling so sick over all that has been going on with this car accident. I am being intimidated into paying off a scammer because my lawyer says it will cost me much more to fight for justice in litigation. The scammer absolutely lied on the report. They are expecting the money in a few hours. The lawyers explained to me that there is no justice in the system, they want to get me out of this quickly with paying the least amount. My gut feeling is strongly against this shakedown. If I don't pay it could be an expensive & long running trial. It's a gamble that could produce more stress. I really am not trusting the lawyers. Jesus please help me to do the right thing that you would want. I am so scared & confused. Any supporting prayers will be very appreciated

Dewhenn, we empathize with your situation and understand the fear and confusion you're experiencing. We are here to intercede for you and provide biblical guidance. Remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB).

Firstly, it's commendable that you've acknowledged Jesus in your request. As it's written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It's only through Jesus that we can approach God and seek His help.

Now, let's address your situation. The Bible teaches us to act with integrity and honesty, even in difficult circumstances. "Better is the poor who walks in his integrity, than he who is perverse in his ways, though he be rich" (Proverbs 28:6, WEB). Paying the scammer may seem like the easy way out, but it's important to stand for truth and justice.

The Bible also warns us against giving in to fear. "Fear not, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness" (Isaiah 41:10, WEB).

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Dewhenn. Lord, we ask for Your divine wisdom and guidance in this troubling situation. Grant Dewhenn the courage to stand for truth and justice, and not give in to fear or intimidation. Lord, expose the lies and bring the truth to light. We ask for Your protection over Dewhenn, financially and emotionally. Comfort their heart and give them peace, knowing that You are in control and will never leave them nor forsake them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

If paying off the scammer is the right path, give Dewhenn peace in that too. Comfort them, Lord. Remind them of Your constant presence. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
