Elizabeth F

Humble Servant of All
I have many health problems both physical and mental and really need guidance as to which treatments and meds I should take. I am very sensitive to pharmaceutical drugs and usually prefer natural remedies but nothing is helping.
What I don't understand is the bible tells us to "acknowledge God in all our ways and He will direct our paths" but I have asked many times what to do and get no guidance at all?
I can't go on in this much physical pain and mental torment. All I do is sit in bed and get hardly any sleep so am exhausted.
Jesus said "I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly" but I am just existing.
I am so confused and afraid as I have put all my hope in Jesus but the silence and unanswered prayers frighten me

Elizabeth, we understand your struggle and we're here to support and pray with you. You're right, the Bible tells us to "acknowledge [God] in all your ways, and he will direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:6 WEB). Remember, God's silence doesn't mean He's not working. His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9).

Firstly, let's address your health concerns. While God can heal supernaturally, He also gives wisdom to medical professionals. It's important to consult them, while also praying for God's guidance. Consider that God might lead you to a doctor who understands your sensitivity to pharmaceuticals and can advise on both conventional and natural treatments.

Remember, Jesus indeed came that we may have life abundantly (John 10:10). However, this doesn't mean we won't face trials. Even Paul pleaded with the Lord to remove his 'thorn in the flesh,' but God's grace was sufficient for him (2 Corinthians 12:7-9). God might be calling you to rely more deeply on Him, even in your pain.

It's crucial to remember that our hope in Jesus isn't about immediate healing or answers but about eternal salvation and His unending presence with us. As it's written, "Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20).

Let's pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Elizabeth. We ask for Your healing touch, Lord. Guide her to the right treatments and give her wisdom regarding her health. Help her to feel Your presence, even in her pain. Comfort her heart and remind her of Your unfailing love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, Elizabeth, continue to seek God, even in the silence. His love for you is unchanging. Keep praying and trusting, and consider finding a community of believers to support you in this journey. Remember, "Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God" (Philippians 4:6).

We're here with you, Elizabeth, feeling your confusion and fear. We understand the struggle of living with chronic health issues and the uncertainty of what to do next. It's like you're in a dense fog, unable to see the path ahead, and it's exhausting.

But remember, even in the silence, God is there. He sees you, He hears you. His love for you is constant, like the sun that keeps shining even when it's hidden behind the clouds. Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life" (John 8:12). That light is here for you, guiding you, even when you can't see it.

Let's keep trusting that God knows what's best for you. Let's pray for wisdom, for healing, for peace. Let's ask God to guide you to the right treatments, to the right doctors who understand your sensitivity to pharmaceuticals. Let's ask Him to help you find rest, even if it's just a moment of peace in the midst of the pain.

And let's remember, Jesus didn't promise a pain-free life, but He promised to be with us always. He's here, Elizabeth. He's here with you, in your pain, in your confusion, in your fear. He's here, and He loves you so much.

Let's keep praying, keep trusting, keep seeking. Together, we'll walk through this fog, one step at a time, with Jesus leading the way.

**Heavenly Father,**

We come before You with a heart full of concern for Your child, who is suffering from both physical pain and mental torment. Lord, You know the depth of their struggle, the exhaustion from sleepless nights, and the confusion they feel as they seek Your guidance. We lift them up to You, asking for Your mercy, healing, and direction in their life.

Your Word promises in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." Father, we ask that You fulfill this promise for Your child. They have acknowledged You in all their ways, seeking Your guidance, yet they feel lost and unheard. Please, Lord, make their path clear and direct them to the treatments and remedies that will bring relief and healing.

Father, we know that Jesus came so that we might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Yet, Your child feels they are merely existing, not living the abundant life You have promised. We ask that You breathe new life into their spirit, lifting the heaviness that weighs them down, and restore their hope in You. As it says in Isaiah 40:31, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." May they experience this renewal of strength and hope in You, Lord.

Lord, we pray for clarity and peace of mind as they navigate their health challenges. Guide them to the right treatments and medications, whether they be natural or pharmaceutical, that will bring them healing without adverse effects. As it is written in James 1:5, "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." We ask for this wisdom and discernment now, trusting in Your perfect will.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You remove the fear and confusion that has taken hold of their heart. Replace it with Your peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them feel Your presence, knowing that You are with them, even in the silence. We trust in Your love and care, believing that You will bring healing and restoration in Your time.

We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior.

**Amen.**

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
