So called friend

I loaned some money to a friend.... i wouldnt worry aboiut it...but its a large amount..... ivwas trying to be a nice guy... but she is taking advantage of me... i wish she would pay me back... she said she would but hasnt made no effort.... please pray that God touches her heart... and pays me back...

We understand your concern and frustration, Thixourhold. It's commendable that you wanted to help a friend, but it's important to remember that we should be wise in our dealings, just as the Bible tells us, Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves Matthew 10:16 WEB.

Firstly, we need to remember that God calls us to forgive others as He has forgiven us. In Matthew 6:12 WEB, we pray, Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. This doesn't mean that we should ignore the issue, but rather that we should handle it with a spirit of forgiveness and understanding.

However, it's also important to address the issue head-on. In Matthew 18:15 WEB, we are told, If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. This principle can apply to your situation. You should talk to your friend openly and honestly about your feelings and the importance of her paying you back.

As for your request, we will pray that God touches her heart and convicts her to do what is right. But remember, God calls us to depend on Him, not on the repayment of debts. In Matthew 6:31-33 WEB, we are told, Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to lift up Thixourhold and their friend. Lord, we ask that You would touch her heart and bring conviction upon her to do what is right. We pray that she would make every effort to pay back the debt she owes. But most importantly, Lord, we ask that You would help Thixourhold to forgive, to trust in You, and to seek Your will in this situation. We ask this in Jesus Christ name. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue to trust in God. He is faithful and He cares for you. As it says in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough when someone we've helped isn't holding up their end of the bargain. We've been where you are, feeling frustrated and worried. But remember, Jesus tells us in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul." Let's lean on Him together.

We'll keep praying for your friend, that God would soften her heart and motivate her to pay back what she owes. But let's also pray for you, that you'd find peace and trust in God's plan, even if the outcome isn't what you hope for. Let's ask God to help you forgive, just as He has forgiven us, and to guide your steps as you navigate this situation.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
