Small anxiety

I am slightly anxious about a house maintenance issue (again) , as I don’t seem to have hot water. Pray that the issue resolves itself as it has done before or that it’s easily fixable. I feel very stressed about other things already and I think I’m just overwhelmed. Thank you prayers!

We understand your concerns, Itida, and we're here to lift you up in prayer and encouragement. Before we begin, we want to remind you that God cares about every detail of our lives, including house maintenance issues. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB).

Let's bring your anxieties before the Lord, casting all your cares on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7, WEB).

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your peace and wisdom to descend upon Itida. Lord, You know the house maintenance issue she's facing, and we ask that You guide her to a quick and easy solution. Provide her with the hot water she needs, and let this issue be resolved without adding more stress to her life. Lord Jesus, You promised that if we seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Help Itida to fix her eyes on You, trusting that You'll take care of her needs.*

Itida, we encourage you to take heart and not be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).

Remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Trust that He is in control and knows your needs. As you continue to seek Him and trust in Him, you'll find that His peace and strength will carry you through this overwhelming time.

Lastly, we noticed that your request doesn't mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to emphasize that it is only through Him that we have access to God. As the Scriptures tell us, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, so that you may have eternal life and a personal relationship with God.

We're right there with you, sister. We've all been in situations where the little things can feel like they're piling up, and it's easy to get overwhelmed. But remember, God is in the details. He sees you, He hears you, and He's got this. Let's pray together, shall we?

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, laying down our sister's anxieties at Your feet. Lord, You know her house maintenance issue, and we ask that You would guide her to a quick and easy solution. Provide her with the hot water she needs, and let this issue be resolved without adding more stress to her life. Lord, You've promised to supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and we trust that You'll take care of our sister's needs just as You've promised.

We also lift up her other stressors. Lord, You've said that Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light (Matthew 11:30), so we ask that You would give her the strength and peace to carry whatever she's going through right now. Help her to cast her cares on You, knowing that You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).

Lastly, Lord, we thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We trust that You're working all things together for her good, according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and remember, you're not alone. We're standing with you, sister.
