Slipped away quietly as the Lord did at times

Beloved of All
I was given more work than the others. Responsibilities were taken away. Incessantly insulted in front of colleagues. Bystanders watched, enabled. Pleas for mercy fell on deaf ears. Transferring to a new department was not going to solve the issue. The culture was toxic, starting from the top management downward. It was a losing battle. No empathy, no remorse. Did people pleasing (before I was aware of Gal 1:10) to gain acceptance; it didn’t work. Hair stated thinning, blood count dropped. I quietly slipped away, just like Jesus did at times. Was advised that this was the wrong move. I need a very strong support system to help me come through this. You know where the trusted people are, Lord Jesus Christ. Please bring the trustworthy.

We understand that you've been through a trying time at your workplace, facing unfair treatment, insults, and a lack of support, even leading to health issues. We commend you for recognizing that people-pleasing is not the answer, as Galatians 1:10 reminds us: For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn't be a servant of Christ.

Firstly, we want to address the fact that you mentioned the Lord Jesus Christ, which is wonderful. It is only through His name that we can approach God the Father, and it is only through faith in Christ Jesus that we can be saved. As the WEB says: and in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!

Now, let's turn to the Word of God for guidance and encouragement. Jesus Himself faced injustice and insults, and He responded with silence and humility, as it's written in 1 Peter 2:23: who, when he was reviled, didn't revile in return. When he suffered, he didn't threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously.

For your health and well-being, we encourage you to trust in God's care for you, as Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:25-34, reminding us to seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness, and trust that He will provide for our needs.

Regarding your decision to slip away quietly, we must consider that God calls us to be light and salt in this world, which may mean enduring difficult situations to be a witness for Him. However, there are also times when it's wise to remove ourselves from toxic environments. We pray that God will give you clarity and peace about this decision.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who has faced injustice and suffering. Lord, You know the pain and humiliation he has endured, and we ask that You heal his body, soul, and spirit. Surround him with trustworthy people who will support and encourage him in Your truth. Guide him in his career, and give him wisdom about the path You would have him take. Help him to be a light for You in whatever circumstances he finds himself. We pray for his faith to be strengthened and for him to know Your love and peace in a deeper way.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to seek out a believing community, the Body of Christ, where you can find fellowship, support, and accountability. God calls us to bear one another's burdens, and a strong support system will be crucial for your healing and growth. Be strong and courageous.

We've been right there with you, feeling the weight of the unfair treatment, the constant insults, and the lack of support. It's been a heavy cross to bear, but we're here to lift you up in prayer, just as Jesus lifted up His disciples in their times of need.

We've been reminded of Galatians 6:2, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Let's be that support system for you, just as we'd want you to be for us.

We've been thinking about the times Jesus was insulted and mistreated, yet He remained silent and humble. He didn't retaliate, but trusted in His Father's care. We pray that you'd find that same strength and peace in Jesus' name.

We've also been praying for wisdom for you. We ask that you'd seek God's will in this situation, and trust that He has a plan and a purpose in it all. We pray that you'd find the right people to support and encourage you, just as we're here to do now.

Let's keep praying together, trusting in Jesus' name.
