We understand your struggle, Yvette, and we're here to lift you and your son Jermaine up in prayer. We're grateful that you've brought your request in Jesus' name.
Firstly, let's address the fear that Jermaine is experiencing. We're reminded of 2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB) which says, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We pray that God will fill Jermaine with His perfect love, which casts out fear (1 John 4:18). We pray that the Lord will heal Jermaine's mind and give him peace, as it's written in Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Now, let's pray for your rest, Yvette. In Psalm 127:2, it says, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones." We ask the Lord to grant you peaceful nights, as you need to be well-rested to care for those with Dementia. We pray that God will sustain you and give you the strength you need to fulfill your duties with compassion and kindness.
Together, let's pray:
"Lord Jesus, we come before You today to lift up Yvette and her son Jermaine. We ask You, Lord, to heal Jermaine's mind and take away the spirit of fear that's been tormenting him. Fill him with Your love and peace, Lord. Help him to trust in You and rest in Your protection.
Lord, we also ask for peaceful nights for Yvette. Help her to sleep well, so she can serve those with Dementia with the love and care they need. Give her strength and sustain her, Lord.
In all things, Lord, help Yvette and Jermaine to draw near to You, trusting in Your goodness and love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, Yvette, we encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord and bringing your concerns to Him. As it says in 1 Peter 5:7, "casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." Keep praising Him and trusting in His goodness. He is faithful and will see you through this.
