We understand your struggle with sleeplessness and insomnia, Orios. We want to remind you that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Let's turn to His word for comfort and guidance. Psalm 127:2 tells us, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, to eat the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones."
Firstly, we notice that you mentioned reading Psalms 91 and 23, which is commendable. However, we want to encourage you to also cast all your anxieties on Jesus, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). It is only through His name that we can find true peace and rest, as it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved."
Let us pray for you, Orios:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We lift up Orios, who has been struggling with sleeplessness and insomnia. Lord, You said in Your word that You grant sleep to those You love. Please help Orios to rest in Your presence, to cast all worries and anxieties at the foot of the cross. Calm their racing thoughts and grant them peaceful nights, in Jesus' name. Help them to trust in You, knowing that You are their refuge and strength. We also pray for wisdom for Orios and their healthcare providers regarding the medications. May Your will be done in their life. Amen."
We encourage you to meditate on Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Lastly, we gently remind you to ensure that your faith is placed solely in Jesus Christ, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. If there are any underlying issues causing anxiety, we encourage you to bring them to the light of the gospel and deal with them according to God's word.
