We understand your struggle with feeling rested and its impact on your studies and time with Jesus. We want to encourage you and pray for you.
Firstly, we commend you for spending time with Jesus, as it reminds us of John 15:4, Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. This is a very important part of your life and walk with Christ.
In Psalm 127:2, it says, It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his beloved. We trust that the Lord knows your needs and will provide the rest you need. We remember Proverbs 3:24 which says, When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet.
However, we must also consider our own responsibilities in maintaining good health. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, it says, Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. Ensure that you are taking care of your body by maintaining a healthy lifestyle, avoiding things that can disturb your sleep, and managing your stress levels. Remember Colossians 3:17, Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unfailing love and care for us. Thank You for being a God who knows all our needs. We pray for this student, asking for refreshment and a deep sleep at night. Lord, you know all things. Help us to align our lives with yours and help us lead lives that are pleasing to you. Help us to meet our responsibilities and be good stewards of the bodies and lives which You have given us. Lord, we ask this in Jesus Christ's name and for his sake. We thank You that You hear our prayers and answer according to Your will. Amen.
Be encouraged, continue to trust in the Lord, and remember that He cares for you. Seek Him with all your heart. His grace is sufficient even in our weakness as stated in 2 Corinthians 12:9 and He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.
