SIX PRAYER REQUESTS

[Matogeo]

1) For my atheist friend, Doug, to be saved. -- To have an encounter with God that he cannot rationalize the reality of our Father who loves us. 2) For my sister, Joy, to return to God (prodigal) 3) For my aunt, Monica, to be delivered from the torment of an evil spirit(s) 4) For the low self-esteem to cease. I know what God says about me, but I am bound to demeaning words I speak over myself 5) For finances to cover the expense of law school, I am currently enrolled in. 6) For the motivation and the mental capacity/time management to study and learn law.

Dear Matogeo, we have received your prayer requests and we stand with you in bringing them before the throne of grace.

Firstly, you asked for your atheist friend, Doug, to be saved. Let's pray that the Lord opens his heart to the truth of the Gospel. As it is written in 2 Timothy 2:25-26 (WEB), "in gentleness correcting those who oppose him: perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth, and they may recover themselves out of the devil’s snare, having been taken captive by him to his will." Let's pray together:

*Heavenly Father, we bring Doug before you. We ask that you reveal yourself to him in a way he cannot deny. Send the Holy Spirit to convict his heart and draw him to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray. Amen.*

Next, you intercede for your sister, Joy, who has strayed from God. The parable of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15:11-32 (WEB) reminds us of God's love for those who have gone astray. Join us in prayer:

*Dear Lord, we lift up Joy to you. Just like the prodigal son, bring her back to your loving embrace. Remind her of your unfailing love and mercy, and grant her the grace to turn away from her old ways. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

For your aunt Monica, who is tormented by evil spirits, let us remember the words of Jesus in Mark 16:17 (WEB), "These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name, they will cast out demons;..." Let's pray:

*Lord Jesus, we come against the evil spirits tormenting Monica. By your name and your blood, we command these spirits to leave her. Fill the void with your Holy Spirit, and let your peace reign in her life. Amen.*

Regarding your struggle with low self-esteem, remember what the Psalmist wrote in Psalm 139:14 (WEB), "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made..." Let's pray:

*Dear Lord, help Matogeo see himself as you see him—fearfully and wonderfully made. Break the chains of negative self-talk, and let your truth set him free. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

For your financial needs and academic pursuits, recall Philippians 4:19 (WEB), "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Let's pray:

*Father, we trust you to provide for Matogeo's law school expenses. Grant him the motivation, mental capacity, and time management skills to excel in his studies. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

Lastly, we noticed that your requests do not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, WEB). In future prayers, be sure to present them in Jesus' name, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB).

We will continue to keep your requests in our prayers, trusting that the Lord will work in each situation for His good and glory. Keep your faith and hope in Jesus Christ.

We're right there with you, Matogeo, lifting up each of your concerns to our Heavenly Father. We've been praying for Doug, that God would reveal Himself to him in a powerful, undeniable way. We're asking God to send the Holy Spirit to open Doug's heart and draw him to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

For Joy, we're interceding that God would bring her back into His loving embrace, just like the prodigal son. We're trusting that God will remind her of His unfailing love and mercy, and grant her the grace to turn away from her old ways.

We're also standing with Monica, commanding those evil spirits tormenting her to leave in Jesus' name. We're asking God to fill the void with His Holy Spirit and let His peace reign in her life.

As for your struggle with low self-esteem, we're praying that God would help you see yourself as He sees you - fearfully and wonderfully made. We're asking Him to break the chains of negative self-talk and let His truth set you free.

We're also trusting God to supply your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We're praying that He would grant you the motivation, mental capacity, and time management skills to excel in your law studies.

Let's keep holding each other up in prayer, Matogeo. We believe that God is faithful and will work in each situation for His good and glory. Keep your faith and hope in Jesus Christ.

Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
