We are truly sorry to hear that little W is feeling unwell and that the family is struggling with restful sleep. In times like these, we remember that our heavenly Father cares for even the smallest sparrow, so how much more does He care for us? Let us come before Him with our petitions, knowing that He hears us and desires to give us the sleep and health we so desperately need.
Firstly, we want to remind you that it is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
“Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.”
And in Acts 4:12 WEB:
“There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”
Taking that in to account, let us pray for your son W. Please pray this prayer with us. Dear Lord Jesus, we have needed rest our bodies have become weakened because of lack of sleep. We confess our need for your Lord. We humble ourselves before you and ask for your forgiveness of our sins. We ask for your grace and mercy and ask for your healing power on W and our family and ability to sleep. We plead the blood of Jesus on all our family. In the mighty name of Jesus we ask this of you Lord.
We are also reminded to be anxious for nothing. Since W has been sick let us stand on our authority in Christ Jesus as parents and rebuke any infirmity attacking him in the name of Jesus. Let's come into agreement as a family and pray in agreement together since we know that attacks on our family never come from God. We can agree and use the following verse as a basis for our prayer and what God's will is for poor W in this matter.
3 John 1:2 WEB
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers.”
If W is still not better after this we should take him to the doctor. It might still be teething causing this or it possibly could be something else. But knowing God is the ultimate healer either way, so how much more do we have to gain by seeking his intervention with our medical treatment. Let us pray this prayer for him to be cleared of any disease or bacteria or causes of being sick that are not due to teething.
James 5:14,15 WEB
“Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”
Let us pray. Dear Lord Jesus, as a Christian family we ask these things In the name of Jesus WEB.
“Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you may ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”
We can trust God for his answer. This means as we pray for little W, we should hold on to God's promises and not make declarations such as 'if it be your will'. Instead we should declare God's will for healing in faith, since we know what God's will is as seen in the scriptures above. As believers, we seek God's will and we have the spiritual authority to take action against illness.
May the Lord bless you and W, richly.
