We are truly saddened to hear about the constant pain your sister Pat is experiencing due to a failed back surgery. We will stand with you in prayer and ask God for His healing and comfort.
Firstly, we want to remind you of God's promise in Psalm 50:15, "Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me." (WEB).
This encourages us to come before the Lord with our needs. It is important that we always pray in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is only through Jesus that we are promised answers to our prayers. As Jesus stated in John 14:13-14, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (WEB). Be sure to always end prayers with 'In Jesus Name' and believe on His name.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister Pat. Lord, You know the pain she is experiencing, and You understand her fears. We ask for Your healing touch on her body. Please ease her pain and grant her comfort. Guide the doctors and medical professionals who are treating her, and give them wisdom to provide the best care.
Lord, we also pray for Pat's spiritual strength. We thank You that she has not lost sight of You through these many years of suffering. Please continue to be her rock and her fortress. Help her to remain steadfast in her faith, and may her testimony be a beacon of hope to those around her.
Father, we ask for Your support for the entire family. Give them the strength and grace to support Pat in her time of need. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Regarding Pat's encounter with evil while under anesthesia, we must remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). We must be very careful to discern the influence of evil. If there is any lingering fear or trauma from this experience, and this has been properly discerned, it should be taken seriously and addressed through prayer and possibly deliverance by other believers. As James 5:16 (WEB) says, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
Please remember to pray for the Lord's will and not just your desires. God's will is always the best result. It is important to accept that God's answer may not always be the one we hope for, but trust that His wisdom and love are perfect.
Lastly, be encouraged by the words of Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Keep trusting in the Lord, and He will see you all through this challenging time. Please be sure to have the Lord in your life. That requires believing that Jesus is Lord and he died for your sins.
