Hello everyone! Let's lift up these needs in prayer:
Dear Lord,
Praise God, the small bowel obstruction has cleared. They did a small bowel follow-through, + that showed things were finally moving again. They took the NG tube out + let her have some liquids by mouth. Assuming she has no problem with the liquids, she'll probably get soft food tomorrow. The suppositories finally worked, too.
A renal scan was also done. It came out pretty good-close to normal. There should not be any reason to take the kidney out. She is supposed to see a urologist next week to discuss laser treatment of the stone. I told her to go to ______. The docs are better there. _____ Hospital can't even make sure you get a bath or get your walks in. No basic hygiene today + she only got 1 walk (4 are ordered). It's like pulling teeth to get anything done. They weren't even very busy. I would have walked/bathed her but my balance isn't steady enough.
I'm so thankful her bowel seems to be working again. She's so weak already. I hate to think how weak she'd be after surgery. I'm hoping the stone can wait till after she gets her strength back. She might need to use a walker for a while at home.
No one even bothered to help connect her CPAP till today- day 6 since admission. So of course she hasn't slept well. She didn't think to ask. I told her to after I found out she hadn't been using it.
She looks pale, but didn't seem as anxious as I thought she might be.
