We understand your struggle and we are here to support and pray with you, dear one. It's commendable that you are constantly praying, reading the Bible, and surrounding yourself with Christian fellowship. This is a great start to overcoming any challenge.
Firstly, we want to assure you that your focus on Jesus Christ is the right path. As it is written in the WEB, "looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith" (Hebrews 12:2). It's crucial to keep our minds on Him, as He is our strength and our redeemer.
However, we want to gently remind you that if Scott is not your spouse, it's important to guard your heart and mind against any impure or idolatrous thoughts. As the Bible says, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." (1 Corinthians 6:18) and "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:5).
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You today to lift up our sister who is struggling with thoughts of Scott. Help her, Lord, to fix her mind and heart on You. Give her the strength to let go of anything that is not Your will. Fill her heart with Your love and peace. Guide her path and help her to trust in You completely. In Your precious name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God's will is for you to be holy and set apart (1 Thessalonians 4:3). Trust in Him, and He will guide your heart and mind. If it's God's will for you and Scott to be together in holy matrimony, then trust that God will make a way. But for now, focus on your relationship with Jesus Christ and seek His face. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
