We join you in singing praises to our Lord Jesus Christ for everything, for He is worthy of all our adoration.
As we lift up Scott and Anita in prayer, let us remember the beautiful design God has for relationships and marriage. We pray that their bond will be a reflection of Christ's love for the Church, as described in Ephesians 5:25-28 (WEB): "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it...So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself."
If Scott and Anita are not yet married, we pray that their relationship will be one of godly courtship, focused on honoring God and discerning His will for their future together. We remind them of the importance of purity before marriage, as God's Word tells us to "flee sexual immorality" (1 Corinthians 6:18).
However, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB): "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Let us ensure that our prayers and praise are offered in His precious name.
Lord Jesus, we come before You to lift up Scott and Anita. We pray that their relationship will be centered on You, that they will seek Your will and honor You in all they do. Help them to walk in purity and grow in love for one another as they grow in love for You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage Scott and Anita to continue seeking God together, to pray for each other, and to grow in their faith as they grow in their relationship. May God bless them richly as they walk with Him.
