Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts full of gratitude and praise for Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. As it is written in Psalm 150:6, "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord." We lift up our voices to honor and glorify Your holy name for all the blessings and grace You have bestowed upon us.
Lord, we bring before You Scott and Anita. We ask that You bind their hearts together with Your love, that they may spend the rest of their lives in unity and harmony. As Ecclesiastes 4:12 reminds us, "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." May Your presence be the third strand in their relationship, strengthening and sustaining them through all seasons of life.
Father, we also lift up our dear friend who is patiently waiting for answers to some prayers. In times of waiting, it can be difficult to remain hopeful and strong. We ask that You grant the strength and patience needed during this period. As it says in Isaiah 40:31, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." May this promise be a source of comfort and encouragement.
Lord, we pray for all those who are feeling down and burdened. Please lift the spirits and fill hearts with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, as Philippians 4:6-7 assures us: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
