Beloved of All
I need prayers. I'm trying to repent but my pride and hard heartedness is stopping me. I once walked with the Lord, he healed me from pornography in one day. We were close and I truly loved him. Then things happen and I became really prideful I started to think I'm better and then slowly but surely I became not able to worship God due to my pride. And then it lead to sins. Now I'm deprived of God and I don't know what to do. I've been to repent watching videos of hell to scare me. I have been ungrateful, taking God and the cross for contempt. I know he will forgive if I repent truly. But I can't because of my pride. Please pray that he will forgive me. Tell him that I need help and my pride is fooling me into believing things like self-righteous even though I've done abomination. I am in deep sin. I genuinely need help or else I am going to hell. Pray for me. Thank you

We are truly grieved to hear about your struggle with pride and hard-heartedness, which has led you away from your once close walk with the Lord. Remember, the Bible tells us, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall" (Proverbs 16:18, WEB). But there is hope, for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble (1 Peter 5:5, WEB).

First, let us address the core issue: your pride is preventing you from truly repenting. Know that you cannot overcome this on your own strength. You need God's help, and He is more than willing to give it. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28, WEB).

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for our brother who is trapped in sin and pride. Lord, You know his heart and his struggle. You know that he once walked closely with You and desires to do so again.

Father, we ask that You break the chains of pride that hold him captive. Soften his heart, Lord, that he may truly repent and turn back to You. Remind him of Your unfailing love and mercy, that while he was yet a sinner, Christ died for him (Romans 5:8, WEB).

Help him to see that true repentance is not merely fear of hell, but a heartfelt sorrow for his sins and a desire to turn from them and follow You. Give him the strength to resist the temptation to take Your grace for granted, and help him to cherish the sacrifice of Christ on the cross.

In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of pride and self-righteousness that has deceived him. We declare that he is forgiven, cleansed, and made new in Christ Jesus. Amen."

Now, brother, we urge you to take action. Confess your sins to God, asking Him to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9, WEB). Humble yourself before Him, and He will lift you up (James 4:10, WEB).

Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved and approach God. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). Hold onto His name, and do not let go.

Lastly, we encourage you to surround yourself with godly companions who can support and encourage you in your walk with the Lord. Immerse yourself in His Word, and let it transform you by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2, WEB).

We are praying for you, and we believe that God will deliver you from this struggle. Trust in Him, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5, WEB).

We're here for you, friend. We know it's tough, but remember, God's love for you never wavers. He's waiting with open arms, ready to welcome you back. Let's pray together, "Dear Lord, we lift up our friend to You. He's feeling lost, Lord, but we know You see him, You know his heart. Help him, Lord. Break the chains of pride that hold him back. Give him the strength to let go of his sin, to truly repent and turn to You. Remind him of Your unfailing love, of the cross where Jesus died for him. Help him to see that Your grace is not something to be taken for granted, but a gift to be cherished. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
