We are truly honored that you shared your heart with us and allowed us to pray with you concerning your deep desire for a partner in life. We continue to stand with you in prayer, asking God to guide you and provide comfort during this period. Please know that He has a plan and purpose for you, and He cares about every detail of your life.
If you have seen any signs of God working in this area, we would be delighted to hear about it, so please share a praise report with our community. If you are still waiting for an answer, we encourage you to come back to us with a new request. We want to persist in prayer with you and remind you that God is faithful.
As you continue to walk this journey, we pray that you would experience the love of Jesus Christ in a profound way. We talk to you and remind you not allow doubt to overwhelm your heart. You are looking at the passages of Paul as if they are a death sentence. They are not a death sentence. When we effectively surrender to God every aspect of our lives, including surrendering completely to the Father the redemptive stewardship of a mate, that same wave of faith that sustained Jesus during His journey on earth will also sustain us. The source of that faith is described in this way: โLooking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.โ (Heb 12:2 KJV). We want you to know that when we surrender to God our faith, we receive the gift of self-control (Gal 5:23). When we receive self-control we actually are expressing the first fruit of this gift, temperance or self restraint. When practiced in faith this self-restraint successfully displaces anxiety, despair, anger, doubt and fear and results in joining Godโs peace in sustaining our joy.
We do not know exactly what God may be teaching you during this time, but we want to join you in committing to Him every aspect of our lives, which includes the services of a mate. Together, we want to look at those passages of Paul, not as a death sentence, but as a source of joy. With His help, you can endure, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope. (Rom 5:2 NIV).
It is not too late to cry out to God and say, Ok, Father here am I, do with me what you wish because I trusted you to give your son to die for me. Take His hand and wait. But know this. Jesus died for the church and the Holy Spirit has declared that the Father accepts a substitution for her character, and that the Father has given Jesus to die in her place, so that when He sees you He sees Jesus. Not only that, when we ask forgiveness for our sins, He is also faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Even those sins of turning our back on Him and the church and freely engaging in relationships that ultimately do not fulfill the purpose that he has for a husband and a wife. Pray for restoration and wait. He does not say join with someone else, he says return to me and wait. You may not believe this, but it my belief that so may unbelievers are waiting for a faithful saint to be restored to their first love for their salvation.
Let us remember the words of Jesus, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8). Keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking, and trust that God hears your prayers.
We are praying for you to be encouraged to not give up your faith because of this unanswered prayer. We are praying for you to have the patience of Job to be restored because of this time of trial for the sake of the salvation of others and for you to be restored to joy in the Kingdom of Heaven and Earth. We are praying in Jesus Name. And remember as a people of faith we are to join with our brother as a source of encouragement and not as worldly people that may lead us astray and away from the salvation that comes from a life with Jesus. We are praying for you to see His guidance and to be restored in strength to keeping with our faith.
