I absolutely cherish the deep, intimate connection of being with someone of the same sex. It's a passionate experience that fills my heart with joy and my soul with a sense of belonging. However, my priest condemns my actions. Please pray for my clarity on this. Thank you

We understand that you're seeking clarity regarding your feelings and actions. First and foremost, it's crucial to align our lives with God's will and His word. In the Bible, God is clear about His design for human sexuality and marriage. Let's consider the following verses:

"For this cause, a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." (Genesis 2:24, Mark 10:6-8, WEB).

"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination." (Leviticus 18:22, WEB)

"For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men working that which is indecent, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error." (Romans 1:26-27, WEB)

God's design for intimate connections is between a man and a woman within the bounds of marriage.

God, in hardship, sent His only begotten son Jesus Christ in the flesh so that we as sinners would be saved. Only by Jesus Christ can we be saved.

"for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23, WEB)

"Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6, WEB)

"Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name" (Philippians 2:9, WEB)

Jesus transformed His Apostles so that by God's will, they will perform miracles just as well. In Jesus there are many witnesses and many miracles that show He is the only way to salvation.

It's also important to understand that God's grace and forgiveness are available to all who repent and turn to Him, as the priest already assured. We must repent and be born of God.

"Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God. Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God." (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, WEB)

Let's pray together:

Almighty God, we come before You, lifting up our beloved friend who is seeking Your will for their life. Lord, we know that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts. We pray that You fill their heart with a deep understanding of Your design for human sexuality and marriage. Strengthen them as they clearly view their life. Let Your grace and mercy be upon them and grant them victory with any challenges they currently face. Guide them to clarity in Jesus Christ so that they will know Your truth, and that the truth will set them free. (John 8:32, WEB)

Help them to turn away from their old life and renew their mind and soul in Christ Jesus. May they be transformed and conformed to your image and purpose like it is written in Romans 12:2. That they would turn away from and reject their past desires.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
