Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother or sister who is struggling with the sin that keeps creeping up, particularly the lust of the eyes. Lord, Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."
Father, we ask that You provide the strength and the way out for our dear one. Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith . We pray that Your Holy Spirit will guide them and give them the power to overcome temptation. Let them remember the words of Psalm 119:37, "Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word."
Lord, we know that the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak . We ask for Your divine intervention to help them resist the devil so that he will flee from them . Surround them with Your love and grace, and let them find refuge in Your presence.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
