We are here with you, dear saint, lifting you up in prayer as you navigate through this challenging time. We are glad you have not made this request as a silent request as that is not an option. We know the WEB tells us from the book of Galatians chapter 6 verses 2 through 3, Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if a man thinks himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. All should be looking to help others so that others can help them in the future.
Firstly, we acknowledge your pain and want to remind you that God is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. We are grateful that you have submitted your request in Jesus' name, as it is only by His name that we have access to God the Father. As the WEB tells us in the book of John chapter 14 verse 6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Therefore, it is in this name we have hope and salvation, and hope for you. Just as it says in the WEB from the book of Romans chapter 10 verse 13, For, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
In the WEB, from Psalm 34 verses 17 through 19, we find some amazing words, The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. We have the assurance of the Lord's ears being open to your cry, and His desire to pull you through this depression and grief.
As you battle with depression and grief, remember that God's strength is made perfect in weakness. Self pity will not get you through. Things happen because of the consequences of sin. That does not make it your fault. Unfortunately, because of Adam and Eve, this is the world we live in. It may be advice that you have been given to quit that had not helped with this depression. You are still grieving the pain and loss that is causing the depression.
God does not guarantee that we won't face challenges like this, but He does promise to walk with us through them. We encourage you to wait patiently for the Lord, and be of good courage. It may be something you can be inspired with as many did in the past in Romans chapter 15 verses 3 and 4, God will do this. Just as in the book of Job chapters 1, 2 and 42, it was Job's faith that was required for God to restore his family and belongings.
As a body of believers we can't help but also remind you not to grieve as those who have no hope. We pray this does not involve loss of a spouse that has left by means of divorce. That is lawlessness. If it is the loss of a spouse or other family member by passing and grief counseling and support groups have not helped then rely on the scriptures as a beacon for encouragement. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the assembly. That is why the man will leave his family to go and be joined to a woman and a man and a woman will become one flesh for life. That is why you do not separate what God has joined together as married. Let's pray.
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our fellow believer who is battling depression and grief. We thank You that You are close to the brokenhearted. That guarantee gave us confidence to approach Your throne of grace here. We claim the victory in this situation as we speak to this depression and grief and command it to let go of you in Jesus' name. We rebuke the spirit of self-pity and depression to let go of this departed soul looking for help. We command those spirits to be released in the name of Jesus Christ.
We pray for Your comfort and peace to fill the void in their minds hearts, and drive away all despair. We also ask that You give them the strength to face each day, knowing that You are always by their side. May You work in their lives and bring in more brothers and sisters in Christ to encourage them, help, and support them in this world. We also pray for the burden of a newly found Christian friend that will be there for each other in this world. We pray this will be be an educational process that they can use to help others in the world. We pray that they will be blessed in the name of Jesus for coming forward and find the hope and encouragement they need.
We ask this in Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and keep the assurance of the Lord's unfailing love and promises. Let us know how we can further encourage and support you through this journey of your life.
