Thank you for bringing this request to us, and for your faith in God's healing power. We stand with you in prayer for your boyfriend's healing.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is the ultimate healer. As it says in Psalm 103:2-3, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases". God is able to heal your boyfriend from his liver problem.
However, we also want to take this opportunity to remind you of the importance of obeying God's word in all areas of our lives. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." We are to honor God with our bodies, and this includes maintaining sexual purity before marriage.
Since you've mentioned that you have a boyfriend, we encourage you to ensure that your relationship is aligned with biblical principles. As believers, our goal in any relationship should be to pursue God's will and ultimately, marriage. We encourage you to pray together and seek God's face together. Remember 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" It is also important to not be engaging in fornication. Fornication is a sin, and as followers of Christ, we should not be engaging in it. Sex should only take place in marriage. It says in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God".
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you today, lifting up this beloved sister's boyfriend to you. Lord, you are the great physician, and we ask that you touch his liver and heal him completely. We pray that your healing power would flow through his body, making him whole again. We also pray for their relationship, that it would be aligned with your will and that they would honor you in all they do. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and believing for his healing. Trust that God is able and willing to heal. Also, use this opportunity to draw closer to God and to ensure that your relationship is honoring to Him. Remember, a relationship should be a threefold cord, with God at the center.
