We are truly sorry to hear that you are going through such a difficult situation, and we want to assure you that God does not call anyone to remain in abusive situations. The Bible tells us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He does not want us to suffer harm, but rather to be safe and live in peace.
Firstly, we want to address the language used to describe your situations. The word 'shit' is not appropriate or becoming of a Christian believer. Instead of using profanity, consider saying that all things are difficult, bad, unfavorable, or similar instead. Remember what Ephesians 4:29 WEB says, Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.
Now, regarding your situation, please consider the following:
God’s will is never for us to be harmed or abused. In cases of abuse, it is crucial to seek safety and help. The Bible tells us to love one another, and abuse is not love. Consider the words in Ephesians 5:28-29 WEB: "So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly". This is a clear picture of how we should treat each other, and abuse is the opposite of this.
It is important to take action to protect yourself. This might mean reaching out to local authorities, trusted friends or family, or support organizations that can help you find a safe environment. Remember the words in Romans 13:1-4 WEB: "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment. For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the same," among other things, God has established authorities to protect and help those in need.
Regarding your anxiety and desperation, we encourage you to cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). God is faithful, and he will open doors of opportunity in his perfect timing. Remember that God’s delays are not God’s denials. He has a plan and a purpose for your life, and he will make a way even when it seems impossible.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear friend who is going through a difficult and abusive situation. Lord, we ask for your protection and guidance. Help them find a safe place and provide for their needs according to your riches in glory. We pray that the abusive person is convicted in their heart that they are wrong. Comfort our brother or sister and give them the strength and courage to take the necessary steps to ensure their safety.
Lord, we also pray for their anxiety. Calm their spirit and help them to trust in you. Open doors of opportunity for them, and help them to see that you are working all things together for their good. We pray this should not be a long term situation and that it will be over soon.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We shall continue to pray with you and do not hesitate to reach out if you need further support or guidance. And remember that our faith is in Jesus Christ, not just in God. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
